Changelog

What's new in Labels.io.

Every release, newest first. Studio changes are for brand teams, portal changes for stockists, factory changes for the workroom.

  1. DOC numbers, editable bride orders, held samples and announcements

A big round of studio requests from the first weeks of live trading: orders can now be corrected after the fact, sample stock that was never ordered through the portal can be recorded, and the studio can talk to every stockist at once.

    Studio

    • DOC number on every order — an alphanumeric reference (up to 24 characters) shown on the printed order and the factory spec, and searchable on Orders.
    • Amend any order: change a price, remove a charge, add a customisation the bride asked for after the fitting, add a goodwill adjustment or a discount — with a reason. The factory spec is kept in step and can be re-sent in one click.
    • Record samples a stockist already holds without raising an order or an invoice ("Already held — record only" on Add samples). They appear as held stock on the Samples report.
    • Announcements: send one message to every stockist — a price increase with its effective date, a change to a style, a new colourway. Delivered in the portal and by email, with a history of what was sent.

    Stockist portal

    • My samples now lists held stock alongside sample orders.
  2. Sample loans, order search and photo import

    Studio

    • Loans page to approve, dispatch and close loans, and to set which sizes are held as loan stock per style.
    • Search Orders by bride, stockist, style, reference or DOC number. Stockists get the same search on My orders.
    • Bulk photo import: drop a folder of images and they are matched to styles by filename, front shot preferred.
    • A sample price per style, and the ability to re-price a sample order for a show deal before it is invoiced.

    Stockist portal

    • Request a sample on loan for a fixed window. The studio approves, ships and records the return; reminders go out automatically before and after the due date.
  3. Product editor and a clearer studio sidebar

    Studio

    • A full edit page per product: photo, details, size matrix, colours, bundled accessories and availability in one place.
    • Accessories are back in the Add samples style list.
    • Sidebar grouped into Daily, Catalogue & trade and Setup, with icons.
  4. Priced sample orders and product photos from the studio

    Studio

    • Add samples in bulk with prices from the style matrix and the stockist’s terms; the Samples report prints a per-stockist sample order confirmation.
    • Add, replace or remove a product photo directly from Products (JPEG, PNG or WebP up to 12 MB).
    • Style lists in Add samples and Quick order are alphabetical.

    Stockist portal

    • The printed order document shows prices and totals.
  5. Custom domains, stockist onboarding and deferred sizing

Everything needed to invite real stockists and trade on the brand’s own domain.

    Studio

    • Invite stockists in bulk with a single welcome email that sets their password — editable in Notifications.
    • Direct messages with each stockist (Messages), with an inbox, unread counts and email alerts both ways.
    • Phone-first "Add a new stockist" form for trade shows; the public Become-a-stockist form asks for the boutique first.

    Stockist portal

    • Reserve a style for a bride and confirm the size later. Cutting is held until the size is in; reminders go out ahead of the deadline.
    • First-login wizard pre-fills shop details; breadcrumbs and a "Place an order" shortcut on My orders.

    Platform

    • Custom portal domains provision themselves: add the domain, set one CNAME, and certificates, verification and sign-in links are handled automatically.
    • Sign-in and invitation emails are scanner-proof and land in the inbox: named sender, plain-text part, no tracking links.
  6. Stockist portal refresh, licence acceptance and studio controls

    Studio

    • Factory note: the studio writes what the factory sees. Stockist free text is shown to the studio for review, never relayed automatically.

    Stockist portal

    • Cleaner navigation: account and help links live under the avatar, the basket is an "Order" button, and tablets get a drawer.
    • A four-stage timeline on every order from submitted to dispatched; amendment requests within seven days of ordering.

    Platform

    • Licence agreement accepted once at first login by stockists, studio users and factories, with an acceptance record and a re-accept notice when the licence changes.
    • Report a problem from any page; every email carries the brand’s contact footer and replies reach the studio.
  7. Studio team, stockist leads and order timelines

    Studio

    • Invite colleagues to the studio console (Team).
    • Public Become-a-stockist form on the brand domain; leads appear in Retailers and the studio is emailed.
    • Stage timeline on each order; the new-order email to the studio carries the full spec with prices.

    Platform

    • Password set-up flow for invitations and resets; cookie consent that remembers the choice.
  8. The factory loop

Orders reach the factory the moment the studio confirms them — no login required on their side.

    Stockist portal

    • Configurator: specify skirt length, describe pattern changes, and see estimated delivery bands.

    Factory

    • A price-masked production spec is emailed to the factory on confirmation, with the stockist, gown photo and reference images.
    • A no-login page to view, print and acknowledge each order; the studio is told when it is acknowledged.
    • Deadline board sorted by ship-by date with overdue and at-risk flags; every stage change updates the studio and the stockist.
