The workbook that ran the label
Jane Aston Bridal sells made-to-order gowns through independent boutiques. Until 2026, that channel ran the way most of bridal still does: a price workbook emailed to stockists, orders coming back by email and phone, every gown’s options transcribed by hand, and every "where is my gown?" answered personally. The workbook held per-size price matrices, curve surcharges and dozens of option charges — rules that lived in a spreadsheet and were applied from memory.
The import: 100+ styles, reconciled to the penny
The catalogue came across directly from the existing workbook — dresses, a curve line and accessories, with per-size price matrices, option charges, colours and bundled accessories. Before launch, the platform’s pricing engine was reconciled line-by-line against the original workbook, so the first order a stockist priced in the portal agreed exactly with the spreadsheet it replaced.
Bridal-grade ordering
Jane’s stockists build real bridal orders: split sizing, made-to-measure with measurements, custom skirt lengths specified in inches, lining and boning choices, pattern changes with notes for the studio — even a split-style gown combining one style’s bodice with another’s skirt. Every option is priced live from her rules, and every order carries a realistic estimated delivery from her lead-time bands.
A factory connected by email
Jane’s gowns are made overseas, and her factory works from its inbox. When the studio confirms an order, the factory receives a price-masked production spec by email — the full customisation detail, the gown photo and any reference images the boutique attached — with a no-login link to view, print and confirm receipt. Every stage they advance updates the stockist’s timeline and notifies the studio automatically.
Live, on her own domain
The portal launched to stockists around the Harrogate Bridal Show in September 2026, at portal.janeastonbridal.london — Jane’s own domain, her monogram, her ivory palette, her typography. New boutiques apply through a public form on the same domain; approved stockists are walked through a guided first sign-in, accept her trading terms, and order. Labels.io is invisible throughout.
A real gown, priced live.
Jane's configurator carries her actual rules: per-size prices with the curve surcharge, every chargeable option, split sizing and made-to-measure kept mutually exclusive, and free-text specifications that travel verbatim to the studio and the factory. The total the boutique sees is recomputed on the server at submission — the browser is never trusted with money.
The whole channel, one system.
Ordering was the start. Jane's studio runs production, money and the stockist relationship in the same place.
Every live order scored against its wedding date, a deadline-ranked schedule for the studio, and a live timeline for each stockist.
Confirming an order raises the invoice with that boutique’s deposit and payment terms; the ledger shows who owes what.
Boutiques keep each bride’s measurements, fittings and gowns in the portal — with Fit Finder recommending sizes from Jane’s own chart.
Emailed specs, no-login acknowledgement, a deadline-sorted queue — and samples reported by boutique so Jane knows which floors carry which gowns.
